1994
SV Probe, Inc. founded in Santa Clara, California as a small cantilever probe card manufacturer.

2001
New Management Team; Implemented new ERP system & Customer Portal.

2003
Design Centers established in Phoenix & Singapore; Entered Joint Venture with Ellipsiz, Ltd.

2004
Expansion into Asia with Vietnam manufacturing & China/Taiwan Support.

2006
Purchased assets of Kulicke & Soffa Wafer Test Business & became wholly-owned subsidiary of Ellipsiz, Ltd.

2007
Construction begins on new Vietnam manufacturing facility, opens in November.

2009
Introduced PowerPlus, high power vertical probe solution for high current & high-density applications.

2011
Introduced first MEMS-based fine pitch vertical probe card.

2013
Acquired assets of Tokyo Cathode Laboratories, a Japan-based probe card manufacturer with a strong line of CIS & LCD products.

2017
Became wholly-owned subsidiary of Nidec-Read Corporation. Expanded product line to include a new, innovative MEMS probe.

2021
Our MEMSFlex™ MEMS-based probe card makes the cover of industry publication Chip Scale Review along with in-depth article about our MEMS test technologies.

2022
Recognized as a 2022 THE BEST TechInsights semiconductor supplier for the 10th straight year.

2023
Changed official name to Nidec SV Probe.
